Wellington Point Early Learning Centre has 75 places built on a 2411 SM site, where only 1635 SM could be used. The remainder of the site was set aside for a wildlife corridor dictated by the local town plan. The building, the car park and the outdoor play areas were not allowed to be built on the corridor. The centre required careful design to incorporate all the areas required by the child care development code while maximising the children places within the centre.
